Today was the last Saturday for Club Sailing before the GP14 National Championship starting on Sunday week.
The boat has had the "once over", the parameters ( mast position, spinnaker pole size, etc. etc. ) have been checked. Medical forms are signed. Towing arrangements are finalised. We are ready to go.
All I need to do is make sure I remember how to sail. ...
Unfortunately today was not a good days sailing.
ReplyDeleteMike Smith did a good job as crew.
But we had a boat-on-boat incident. We were clearly in the wrong, and will have to pay for some damage.
I don't think we really got back into the racing afterwards.
Room for improvement ...
In case anyone asks, the GP14 is a SpeedSails GRP (fibreglass) boat built in 2007. The Sails are Pin&Bax. The Spinnaker (not showing in the photograph) is bright yellow.
