Count Down to GP14 Nationals ...

Today was the last Saturday for Club Sailing before the GP14 National Championship starting on Sunday week.

The boat has had the "once over", the parameters ( mast position, spinnaker pole size, etc. etc. ) have been checked. Medical forms are signed. Towing arrangements are finalised. We are ready to go.

All I need to do is make sure I remember how to sail. ...

  1. Unfortunately today was not a good days sailing.
Mike Smith did a good job as crew.
But we had a boat-on-boat incident. We were clearly in the wrong, and will have to pay for some damage.
I don't think we really got back into the racing afterwards.
    Room for improvement ...

  2. In case anyone asks, the GP14 is a SpeedSails GRP (fibreglass) boat built in 2007. The Sails are Pin&Bax. The Spinnaker (not showing in the photograph) is bright yellow.
